Meet Steve.
Steve (he/him) joined the Indianapolis MPO in April 1988 as a transportation planner working in the areas of travel demand forecasting, Regional Transportation Plan development, local thoroughfare plans, interchange justification studies, railroad studies, airport planning, traffic impact analysis, street functional classification and other local and regional transportation areas. Since 2002 he has been the Principal Planner overseeing the MPO's programming section responsible for the development of the Indianapolis Regional Transportation Improvement Program, developing and working with the MPO’s on-line project development database known as MiTIP, quarterly project tracking and all aspects of federally funded transportation projects from concept to completion.
A native of Indianapolis, Steve received a B.S. degree in Political Science with a concentration in Urban and Regional Studies and a minor in Geography from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He currently lives in Irvington with his wife and enjoys visiting his son in Chicago and his daughter in Toronto.
His main responsibilities with the Indianapolis MPO include:
- Manager of the Programming Section
- Oversight of the Indianapolis Regional Transportation Improvement Program (IRTIP)
- Participates in IMPO strategic policy development and initiatives
