Meet Holly.
Holly (They/Them) joined the IMPO as an intern with the Data Section in May 2024 and continued as intern through the end of the year. Holly has accepted an offer to join the IMPO full-time and will be starting as a Data Planner 1 in January 2025.
Holly is originally from Bloomington, Minnesota. They earned a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and development from Ball State University. While interning they also completed a GIScience certificate from Ball State as well.
Holly came to the IMPO from Visit Indy, where they developed multiple user-friendly data focused online web applications and updated development information while interning. They also previously had a planning internship with the City of Brooklyn Park in Minnesota. They were part of the planning team and did a variety of things. Their biggest take away was some cartography assignments, helped compile research for proposing adding floor area ratio to their zoning, and the basic permit application/zoning reviews.
Their main responsibilities include:
- Continued development of the Ride Guide
- Data Inventory for crash data & various dashboards
- ArcGIS Online Asset Management
- Scenario Planning
- Data and Cartography support for other staff projects
