Taking a ride: Connector helps staff area businesses

Many people truly enjoy their jobs and are enthusiastic about getting to work each day to network with co-workers and be as productive as possible. Still, everyone’s least favorite part of each workday is usually the moment when the alarm rings. It’s always too early, we’re always too tired and there’s always more sleep to be had.
This is the general feeling on the 5:15 a.m. connector shuttle that runs the only express route of the day from the downtown Indianapolis metro hub to the Plainfield Connector stop at Bridgeport and Washington. The South Plainfield Connector is a service of Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA).
Plainfield’s population and industry has been growing rapidly and, as a result, the number of new businesses that have moved to or opened in Plainfield have created something of a workforce crisis.
