IMPO Certification Review Underway
The Indianapolis MPO (IMPO) is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for Central Indiana. The IMPO is responsible for planning for short-term and long-term transportation needs in the region in coordination with our regional partners.
Every few years, the IMPO goes through a recertification process by our federal government partners including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to assure the IMPO’s transportation activities, practices, and policies are in compliance with the Federal regulations and laws. As part of this certification process, our federal partners seek input from the public and our regional planning partners.
There are multiple ways to provide feedback during the IMPO's certification review.
1. Indianapolis MPO Certification Public Comment Form
To provide feedback online, please fill out the virtual feedback form. This feedback form will be open from May 20 to June 21.
2. Virtual Listening Sessions
The FHWA will host two virtual listening sessions where members of the public can provide feedback.
